Error Check

This page provides you with the status of your NPI application. You must resolve all errors before you can submit your NPI application.

For each Step of your application, the page will identify whether or not error(s) were found with the information you entered for that Step.

If the information provided in any step is incorrect, it will indicate that the particular Step is in Error and identify all errors associated with that Step. If the information provided is correct and complete it will indicate that particular step is Good, and that no errors were found.

A separate button is provided in each step, that when selected will take you to that Step in the application so that you may review and modify your NPI application. If there are no errors the button provides will say ‘Review’. If there are any errors, the button provided will say ‘Update’.

You can click the VIEW button to navigate to the Publicly Viewable Information page and review which details of the information you are submitting will be public after you submit.

Step 1: Provider Profile:

If any errors were found with the information entered on the Provider Profile page, they will be indicated here, otherwise the status will display as GOOD. Update Button: This button will be available if errors were found in the Provider Profile data entered. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Provider Profile page. Review Button: This button will be available if there are no errors associated with the Provider Profile. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Provider Profile page.

Step 2: Business Mailing Address:

Update Button: This button will be available if errors were found in the Business Mailing Address data entered. Upon selecting this button the user is navigated to the Business Mailing Address page. Review Button: This button will be available if there are no errors associated with the Business Mailing Address. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Business Mailing Address page.

Step 3: Health Information Exchange:

Update Button: This button will be available if errors were found on the Health Information Exchange page. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Health Information Exchange page. Review Button: This button will be available if there are no errors associated with the Health Information Exchange page. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Health Information Exchange page.

Step 4: Other Identifiers:

Update Button: This button will be available if errors were found in the Other Identifiers. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Other Identifiers page. Review Button: This button will be available if there are no errors associated with the Other Identifiers. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Other Identifiers page.

Step 5: Taxonomy:

Update Button: This button will be available if errors were found on the Taxonomy page. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Taxonomy page. Review Button: This button will be available if there are no errors associated with the Taxonomy page. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Taxonomy page.

Step 6: Contact Information:

Update Button: This button will be available if errors were found on the Contact Information page. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Contact Information page. Review Button: This button will be available if errors were found on the Contact Information page. Upon selecting this button you will be navigated to the Contact Information page.

Error Check Page Navigation:

The following are the other navigation button provided at the bottom of the Error Check page.

Previous Button:

Upon selecting the ‘Previous’ button you will be navigated to the Contact Information page that the user had worked on.

Next Button:

The Next Button will not be visible if the NPI application contains errors or if no changes were made to an existing enumerated NPI.

Upon selecting the ‘Next’ button you will be navigated to the Submission page if no errors found with the NPI application.

Save & Exit Button:

Upon selecting the ‘Save & Exit’ Button the entries made are saved and you will be navigated to the Main page.
